World Cup Predictions
Which teams will advance? Here are my predictions:
Group A: Germany, Poland (oh, the Costa Rican fans will be so angry!)
Group B: England, Sweden
Group C: Netherlands, Argentina (but Serbia could make it)
Group D: Portugal, Mexico
Group E: Italy, Czech Republic (I would love to see the US advance, but this is a tough group!)
Group F: Brazil, Croatia (Japan will put up a good fight, but is outclassed)
Group G: France, Korea (upsetting Switzerland)
Group H: Spain, Ukraine
I miss Nigeria, Cameroun, Bulgaria, Columbia... such exciting teams. Maybe in four more years.
More predictions after play starts. Oooh, I can't wait!!!

F1 Season Starts
After too long a wait, the Formula 1 season has finally started, with Fernando Alonso taking up where he left off. I have no idea how he managed to avoid Felipe Massa when Massa's Ferrari slid backwards right in front of the Renault! And I was happy that Jacques Villeneuve was able to quickly escape his burning car. What a performance by Kimi Raikkonen, going from last to wind up on the podium. And Michael Schumacher is in the hunt again, after last year's disappointing effort. Scott Speed did respectfully, being the first US F1 driver for too many years. And the new rules seemed to have made the contest much more competitive this year, with a half dozen teams having reasonable chances for a race victory. For race details, visit Pitpass.
